GIVEAWAY TERMS

The Game Vault — Muerto of the Week · Last updated: July 21, 2026

These rules govern every “Muerto of the Week” giveaway run through the Game Vault. By entering, you agree to these rules, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

1. No purchase necessary

Entry is free. Playing the Game is free, creating an Ethereum wallet is free, and signing in costs nothing (the sign-in signature is not a blockchain transaction and has no gas fee). You do not need to own, buy, or hold any NFT or cryptocurrency to enter, and buying anything does not improve your odds.

2. Sponsor

Giveaways are run by the operator of Cazamuertos, an independent fan project (see Terms of Service). Giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by the creators of the Los Muertos collection, OpenSea, X (Twitter), Discord, or the Ethereum Foundation, and none of them are affiliated with these giveaways in any way.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
  • Void where prohibited or restricted by law. It is your responsibility to confirm that entering a free prize drawing is lawful where you live.
  • You need an Ethereum wallet you control that can receive an ERC-721 token — the prize is delivered on-chain to the winning wallet address, and there is no other delivery method.
  • The operator, and anyone who administers the draw, may not win.

4. How to enter

  • Connect your wallet and sign in (the sign-in signature is what credits entries to your wallet).
  • Play a classic night and wrangle the week's Lost One home.
  • That earns one raffle ticket per wallet per UTC dayduring the giveaway's entry window (the window is shown on the Vault page). Playing on more days earns more tickets. There is no other way to enter.

5. Winner selection — provably fair

When the entry window closes, the winning ticket is chosen from a public Ethereum block hash: the hash (as a number) modulo the total ticket count selects the winning ticket, over all entrants sorted by wallet address with their published ticket counts. Anyone can verify the math from the published draw record (block number, block hash, ticket totals) shown on the Vault page. Odds depend on the total number of tickets earned by all entrants. The draw is final.

6. The prize

  • One (1) Los Muertos NFT per giveaway, identified on the Vault page before and during the entry window. One prize per giveaway; no substitution and no cash alternative.
  • The prize is transferred on Ethereum mainnet from the vault wallet directly to the winning wallet address, normally within seven (7) days of the draw. The operator pays the transfer gas.
  • NFTs have no guaranteed monetary value. Their value is volatile and may be zero. Nothing about a giveaway is an investment, a security, an offer, or financial advice.
  • Once the transfer to the winning address is confirmed on-chain, delivery is complete. You are solely responsible for the security and control of your wallet — a lost, compromised, or inaccessible wallet cannot be recovered by the operator, and a completed on-chain transfer cannot be reversed.
  • Any taxes on the prize are the winner's sole responsibility.

7. Winner announcement

The winning wallet address is announced on the Vault page (in shortened form, e.g. 0x1234…abcd) and may be announced on X and Discord. By entering, you consent to this display. The draw record is retained permanently so the result stays publicly verifiable.

8. Fair play & disqualification

Entries must come from real, human gameplay. The operator may disqualify entries or entrants — and withhold or re-draw a prize — where entries were obtained through bots, scripts, exploits, bugs, multiple-wallet abuse, or any other conduct that undermines the fairness of the draw. Cazamuertos is beta software: if a technical failure corrupts a giveaway's entries or draw, the operator may cancel, suspend, or re-run that giveaway. The operator's decisions on fairness are final.

9. Release & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: by entering, you release the operator from any claim arising out of a giveaway, including the prize's value or usability, blockchain network failures or congestion, wallet software, marketplace availability, or errors in beta software. The operator's total liability in connection with any giveaway is limited to delivery of the prize as described above.

10. Changes

These rules may be updated between giveaways; the rules in force when a giveaway opens govern that giveaway. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
