These rules govern every “Muerto of the Week” giveaway run through the Game Vault. By entering, you agree to these rules, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
Entry is free. Playing the Game is free, creating an Ethereum wallet is free, and signing in costs nothing (the sign-in signature is not a blockchain transaction and has no gas fee). You do not need to own, buy, or hold any NFT or cryptocurrency to enter, and buying anything does not improve your odds.
Giveaways are run by the operator of Cazamuertos, an independent fan project (see Terms of Service). Giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by the creators of the Los Muertos collection, OpenSea, X (Twitter), Discord, or the Ethereum Foundation, and none of them are affiliated with these giveaways in any way.
When the entry window closes, the winning ticket is chosen from a public Ethereum block hash: the hash (as a number) modulo the total ticket count selects the winning ticket, over all entrants sorted by wallet address with their published ticket counts. Anyone can verify the math from the published draw record (block number, block hash, ticket totals) shown on the Vault page. Odds depend on the total number of tickets earned by all entrants. The draw is final.
The winning wallet address is announced on the Vault page (in shortened form, e.g. 0x1234…abcd) and may be announced on X and Discord. By entering, you consent to this display. The draw record is retained permanently so the result stays publicly verifiable.
Entries must come from real, human gameplay. The operator may disqualify entries or entrants — and withhold or re-draw a prize — where entries were obtained through bots, scripts, exploits, bugs, multiple-wallet abuse, or any other conduct that undermines the fairness of the draw. Cazamuertos is beta software: if a technical failure corrupts a giveaway's entries or draw, the operator may cancel, suspend, or re-run that giveaway. The operator's decisions on fairness are final.
To the maximum extent permitted by law: by entering, you release the operator from any claim arising out of a giveaway, including the prize's value or usability, blockchain network failures or congestion, wallet software, marketplace availability, or errors in beta software. The operator's total liability in connection with any giveaway is limited to delivery of the prize as described above.
These rules may be updated between giveaways; the rules in force when a giveaway opens govern that giveaway. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
