The dead of Halloway come to town on time. For three nights, from Sat, Oct 31 · 12:00 PM to Tue, Nov 3 · 12:00 PM in your time, every muerto the town counts walks through Halloway — in through the ofrenda gate, up the market street, round the plaza, out along Kiln Street. One full pass a night, in order, so every one of them has an hour, the same each night.
The line forms at Sat, Oct 31 · 12:00 PM in your time, and walks until Tue, Nov 3 · 12:00 PM.

WHAT YOU DO THERE
Light the way. Hold the Marigold Arc on a lantern pole, a stall, a post or a door's table and it lights for the night. Around it is lit ground: the dead slow down there, every one of them earns you remembrance while they stand in it, and the pit cannot take them. Light two posts close enough and the road between them glows. Light the whole way from the gate to the churchyard and the night pays you for it.
Set the offerings. An Offering lands as a table; whoever passes stops a while.
Greet your own. Be near when yours comes through and it steps out of the line to you.
Hold the line. The Diablos still come through the gate. Drive them back.
Nobody is brought home during the visit; the Chalk stands. The night ends at sunrise. Be in town →
